Comentário:
Com efeito, o Ser, isto é, aquele ente absoluto absolutamente infinito e eterno que coloca a essência de cada ente finito, e através do qual toda e qualquer coisa necessariamente existe e é explicada, é D’us. Pois tudo que existe existe em D’us e por causa de D’us, e sem D’us nada pode ser explicado. Mas e como provar então a existência de D’us? Ora, é que se segue da natureza de toda Substância que ela exista em si mesma e seja concebida exclusivamente através de si. E se existe apenas uma única Substância, que é D’us, que toda Substância, existindo em si e por si, deve ser a causa primeira de absolutamente todas as coisas, logo D’us é realmente a causa de absolutamente todas as coisas tais quais elas são nelas mesmas. E se D’us não apenas é infinito, como é absolutamente infinito, logo este ente abarca absolutamente tudo, tudo existindo como parte dele e nada fora dele.
Mas e como acessar diretamente a essência de D’us? Quando escrevi essa letra, lá pelos idos de 2016, tinha em mente que o fosse através dos afetos. Hoje em dia, porém, ao me aprofundar na filosofia de Spinoza, não estou tão certo. Mas suspeito que ainda deva haver um lugar de acesso à Verdade através dos Afetos – isto é, Sentimentos tais quais compreendemos no Senso Comum – e não apenas através da Razão (que para Spinoza é também uma Afeto).

Commentary:
Indeed, the Being, that is, that absolute absolutely infinite and eternal being that puts the essence of every finite being, and throught which every and any thing necessarily exists and is explained, is G-d. For everything that exists exists in G-d and because of G-d, and without G-d nothing can be explained. But how to prove then the existence of G-d? Well, that's because it's followed from the nature of every Substance that it exists in itself and is conceived exclusively through itself. And if only one single Substance exists, which is G-d, that every Substance, existind in itself and because of itself, must be the first cause of absolutely all things, hence G-d really is the cause of absolutely all things as they are in themselves. And if G-d is not only infinite, but is also abolutely infinite, hence this being enfolds absolutely everything, everything existing as part of it and nothing out of it.
But and what about accessing directly the essence of G-d? When I wrote these lyrics, around 2016, I had in mind that it was through the affections. Nowadays, however, going deeper into Spinoza's philosophy, I'm not so sure. But I suspect that there still is a place of access to the Truth through the Affections – that is, Feelings as we understand in the Common Sense – and not only through Reason (which for Spinoza is also an Affection).
